Can I keep the same phone number?
Yes! Changing your service to MHTC does not require you to get a new phone number.

Will I still be listed in the phone book?
Yes. Changing to MHTC for your local telephone service will not prevent you from being listed in your local phone book. You may also choose to have an unlisted number.

Can I keep my current Long Distance carrier?
Some long distance carriers such as AT&T or Vartech are not available through MHTC. The price of your monthly service is the same whether you choose MHTCs long distance, another carrier or no long distance service.

Is there a charge to change my service to MHTC?
Yes, unless you are switching from another local service provider, then we waive all fees.

What will my calling area be using MHTC?
Your standard local calling area will not change. Our local calling areas are matched up with those of your current provider, so numbers you can call locally now will remain local calls, and calls that are currently long distance will remain long distance.

How much will my phone bill be using MHTC? Does the price include all fees?
The price does not include the 911 Emergency Service Charge, or Federal, State and County Tax. See Rates (link)

Who do I call if I have problems or questions about my service?
For Billing and Other Questions call Customer Service at 930-9985, For Service Issues Call 930-3419

Do I need to notify current local provider or my long distance carrier that I'm changing?
MHTC will notify your current local service provider. If you are switching to MHTCs long distance, you must contact your long distance carrier to cancel your long distance with them. If you have questions about something sent to you from your old provider, please call Customer Service at 930-9985.

How long does it take for my service to switch to MHTC?
This depends on scheduling, but MHTC tries to switch your local service to MHTC as soon as possible.

Will I notice any interruption in my service while it's being changed to MHTC?
MHTC makes every attempt to switch your service without any interruption, although some times it can not be avoided.

Who will be billing me?
Upon switching, your phone bill will then come from MHTC and will include all services provided to you by MHTC.
