With Voice Mail from MHTC you won't miss a call if you are away from home, on the phone or unavailable to answer the phone. Unlike answering machines, Voice Mail works during power outages, can't be damaged by lightening and there is no equipment to purchase or maintain. With Voice Mail you can easily retrieve your messages at home or away from home.

Voice Mail Features
Sub Mailboxes - Each user on a telephone line can have their own voice mailbox, and passwords ensure privacy. Sub mailboxes work well for roommates, family members and people who work out of their homes.
Multiple Greetings - Record multiple greetings in advance so all you have to do is choose which greeting is active.
Reply to Messages - The service will attempt to place a call to the person who left the message (the number that they called from) and then return directly to Voice Mail. (Local calls only).
Message Forwarding - Forward a message to another mailbox or distribution list. You also can record an introduction to the message you are forwarding.
Message Sending - Send a message directly to the Voice Mail of another mailbox or distribution list, their phone will not ring.
Distribution Lists - This feature allows you to create a group of mailboxes in one list. Example: If you want to send a message to everyone in the sales department, create a list of people in that department. Instead of sending the message to each individual, you send it to the sales department distribution list. The message will be sent to everyone listed in that group.
Announce Caller - This feature will announce the telephone number of the caller. (Requires caller id subscription).
Out Dial - This feature allows calls to be forwarded to another number when a caller dials 0 after reaching your Voice Mail. Example: “...Please leave a message at the tone, or press 0 to connect to my cell phone.” (Local Calls Only.)
E-mail Notification - This feature allows you to receive your voice mail messages in your e-mail. Listen to, forward, save or delete your messages directly from your e-mail. Dial-up Internet users will never miss an urgent message because you are on-line.
Enable E-mail Notification: Select Yes to send new message notification to an e-mail address.
E-mail Address: Enter the e-mail address that the new message notification will be sent to. Separate multiple addresses with a semi-colon (;). Maximum of 50 characters.
Pager or Phone Notification - This is great for people on the go. Receive pager or telephone call alerts you when you have a new message in your mailbox. Enable Pager Notification: Select Yes to send new message notification to a pager of phone number.
Pager Type: This field can not be editied it is view-only. Set to Phone (a telephone is paged), Unique Number (pager has a unique access number), or Shared Number (pager has an access number common with other pagers).
Pager Access Number: 10-digit number to dial for notification.
Pager Number: 10-digits to dial when connected to pager service (only necessary when Type is set for Shared Number).
Only Page on Urgent Calls: Select Yes to send notification for only messages marked as urgent or No to send notifications for all messages.
Continuous Paging - This feature will continue to page you until all new messages have been received.
Daily Notification - Select a phone number and the time of day for the system to notify if you have received any new messages. Enable Daily Notification: Select Yes to allow daily phone notifications of new messages.
Notify Time: Time of day the notification call will be placed.
Notify Number: The ten digit telephone number to dial for daily notification.
Allow Future Delivery - Special deivery feature that allows you to mark a message to be delivered at a later time & date.
Associated Numbers - This feature allows multiple telephone numbers to share the same voice mailbox.
Manage My Phone Website - Manage My Phone allows subscribers to access their voice mail messages and personal settings from the web.
Accessing the manage my phone website
Using any web browser, go to www.managemyphone.com. Enter your username and password. The username is your 10-digit telephone number. Messages tab
A list of existing messages from your voice mailbox will appear (if there are messages). Use the controls at the bottom of the screen to Play, Save or Delete your messages.
Settings tab
The settings window is divided into three sections, General Options, Notification Options, and Distribution Lists. You may not be able to access some areas if that feature is not included with your voice mail package.
General Options
Voice Mail PIN: The PIN/Password is used to access the mailbox when retrieving messages over the telephone.
Enable Auto Login: When on, you are not required to enter your password when you check your messages from your home phone.
The Max Message Length, Max Mailbox Time and Max Messages fields are view-only and can not be changed.

Voicemail Setup 
Recording & Selecting A Greeting:
1. Access your voice mailbox.
2. At the Main Menu press 9 (Mailbox Setup).
3. Press 1 for Greeting Options.
4. Press 5 to pick a new greeting.
5. Pick the greeting # (2-9) you want to record.
6. Press 2 to Record a Greeting.
7. At the tone record a greeting, when finished press the # key.
After you have recorded all your greetings, Press 5 again to pick the greeting you want active.
1. Access your voice mail box.
To Record Your Greeting
1. From the Main Menu Press 9 (Mailbox Setup).
2. Press 1 for Greeting Options.
3. Press 4 to Record a Greeting. When finished recording press the # key. (Press 2 to Re-record a Greeting after inital setup).
4. Press 2 to Save Your Greeting.
To Change Your Password
1. From the Main Menu Press 9 (Mailbox Setup).
2. Press 2 to change your password.
3. Enter a new Password (1-16 digits) followed by the # key.
4. Re-enter the new password followed by the # key.
Auto Login
Retrieve Your Messages
Enable/Disable Auto Login:
Auto Login gives you faster access to your voice mailbox. If Auto Login has been enabled and you access the Voice Mail from your "home" telephone number you will not have to enter your mailbox number (telephone number) or password.
Enable/Disable Auto Login:
1. Access your voice mailbox.
2. At the Main Menu press 9 (Mailbox Setup).
3. Press 4 to change your Auto Login options.
Press 1: Enable/Disable Auto Login
Press *: Return to the Setup Menu
Accessing Your Voice Mail First time setup should be done from the telephone
number that the Voicemail has been activated on.
Note: The first time you access your voice mail your password
is 0000. You should change your password to something
other than the default.
From Your Home Phone:
1. Dial #86
2. If prompted for your mailbox number press the # key. (If
you have multiple Voicemail boxes on one line please refer
to the Voicemail with Sub Mailbox instructions).
3. If prompted, enter your password followed by the # key.
(If Auto Login is enabled you will not be prompted to enter
your password.)
From Any Other Phone:
1. Dial 437-6600 (Mt Horeb) or 930-6600 (Dodgeville).
2. When prompted for your mailbox number enter your
10 digit telephone number followed by the # key. (If you
have multiple Voicemail boxes on one line please refer to
the Voicemail with Sub Mailbox instructions).
3. If prompted, enter your password followed by the # key.
– or –
1. Dial your home phone number.
2. When your greeting begins, press the * key.
3. Enter your password followed by the # key.
Retrieve Your Messages 1. Access your voice mailbox.
2. Press 1 to listen to new messages or 2 for saved messages.
While retrieving messages you can:
Press 1: Play/Replay the message
Press 2: Save the message & play the next message
Press 3: Delete the message & play the next message
Press 4: Save the message as new
Press 5: Reply to a message (Auto Recall)
Press 6: Forward the message to another mailbox*
Press 7: Skip back 3 seconds
Press 8: Pause the message
Press 9: Skip forward 3 seconds
Press *: Return to the Main Menu
To Undelete A Message:
Don't Hang Up. Listen to the message again and then Press either 2 or 4 to save the message.
* Forwarding Messages:
Enter a list of mailboxes and/or distribution lists separated by the # key. End the list by pressing the # key twice. If you wish to record an introduction press the * key, to send press the # key.
Press 1: Forward Now
Press 2: Review Your Message
Press 3: Re-record your introduction
Press 4: Message Options
Press 9: Cancel forwarding of this message.
E-Mail Notification
You can receive your voice mail messages in your e-mail. You can play, forward, save or delete the messages from your computer.
1. Check your e-mail as you normally would.
2. When you get a voice mail message, you will receive an e-mail delivered right to your inbox. The message will have an attachment.
3. Open the attachment and your media player will play the message.
4. If desired, save the attachment on your PC.
5. Follow the links in the message to save or delete the message from the voice mail system.
