Leah
at 2 Years
I know, I know, Leah is not a
Field Spaniel. But she was my first registered therapy dog and partner
in our first CD. She deserves a place on this page. Leah was not
a typical Golden Retriever. As a youngster, she was creative and bouncy and energetic
and never read the rule book. She prepared me for that problem-solving
devious Field Spaniel sense of humor. Leah slowed with age, but her nose
and tail and tongue worked just fine until she was 18 years old.

| CH Calico’s Baird
CD
My first Field came to live with
us on Thanksgiving day 1987. He was worth all that research and the year
and a half wait. |

Bay is shown getting
those last few points for his championship July 1989. We both looked a
lot younger then. Bay carried his ear in his mouth and was willing to play
any game I suggested until
he crossed the bridge in 2002. |

Ch. Maplesugar's Caillech

Caili was my first
bred by champion. From Caili’s 2 litters, she is mother of Mickey’s service
dog Kasey, Max, the Wrigleys and Rio, Karen’s wish come true, and Carly,
Calvin, Farley, Cocoa, Duke, Annie and Caira... who told me she was Karen’s
but I didn’t listen at first. Caili's spirit shines on in her great great grandkids... (4-13-1990 to 1-24-2006) |
