Imagine!  You're 22, single, and on your own.  You've just received a nice yearly raise from your boss!  Your gross income is now $26,500 a year.  Your "old beater" is ten years old.  Yep!  It's time to retire that rust bucket to the junk yard and get some REAL wheels!!  Just wait until  the gang sees you drive up in your dream car!

BUT  FIRST!  Let's shift gears and LOOK before you leap (behind the wheel,) so you're dream car doesn't turn into your worst  nightmare!

Let's take that jalopy of yours on one last road trip -- on the Information Highway!  Your journey will help you to be an informed consumer when you make that decision about the purchase of a car.   And you'll be able to  give supporting evidence as to why this is the right car for you!

Your Task: Write Your Introduction

Write a  paragraph or two detailing what kind of car you want and how you would go about buying it.  (For this project, you must get your car from a dealership.  You may not buy one from a friend or relative.)  Be realistic in your choices.  (You could not afford to buy a Hummer or Jaguar on the income stated in the scenario above!)  Your teacher will be collecting a copy of this introductory paragraph.  You should keep a copy to hand in with the Project Packet.
