Shop Blogs
Well I opened my big fat piehole on my Guild's message board, so here I am trying to explain the phenomenon of Shop Blogs when I know absolutely nothing about them whatsoever. WHY people use them, or HOW they even work is beyond my comprehension. I see them in WAY too many Neopian shops, but.....for some unfathomable reason, I felt I compelled to try my hand at making them. As usual. with such things that involve elaborate forms of cuteness, I must confess to and pay homage to my wife and HER total immersion in things that involve elaborate forms of cuteness. PetPages. ShopBlogs. Ixi Plushies. And so on.
Now don't get me wrong. I love this sort of stuff as well. I love cuteness far MORE than the next guy. I'm not some dull turtle. I'm not some surly curmudgeon who sticks to the facts. I celebrate and embrace cuteness and don't let the facts of the situation stop me.
For the life of me, I can't see why someone sticks a ShopBlog in the middle of their Shop, when the verbiage that the ENTs allow us to put in our Shop is quite sufficient. My freakin' Son-in-Law has one in his shop, the big calf!!
I just don't get it.
But....as I said....I don't let the facts stop me in my tracks. So here is a page of ShopBlogs that people in my Guild requested. More will mostly like be created, though for the life of me I don't know why.
Meanwhile, I've made it fairly easy for y'all to get these ShopBlogs up in your Shops. All you have to is highlight the ShopBlog Code in the textbox below the image, hit Ctrl-C to copy it, then hit Ctrl-V to paste it into your Shop Description. It's that simple. The image will link back to this site, or, if you'd prefer, as would I, you can save the image to YOUR site and link from there.
As for whatever verbiage you put in your ShopBlog, I've made it very clear in the coding where to type that in. That's your baby, you rock it. I don't want to know. Remember, I do not know, nor do I care, how the Internet works.
